The Reyee EW Series routers are high-performance, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 devices designed to deliver seamless connectivity in large flats, villas, small shops, SOHO, and similar scenarios. Built to support next-generation Wi-Fi services, they feature gigabit speeds and robust coverage.
These routers offer both local and remote management via a web interface and the Ruijie Cloud App. They come equipped with home-focused features like parental control, health mode, and Xpress mode, and integrate smoothly with the Smart Life Kit System for versatile household use.
Internet Access Modes
The RG-EW3200GX PRO supports two modes for Internet access:
-
Primary Router Mode: Best for creating a new network, connecting directly to the Internet via a wired link. It can manage secondary routers and operates in PPPoE, DHCP, or static IP mode. It’s recommended to choose the most powerful device as the primary router.
-
Secondary Router Mode: Expands network coverage via wired or wireless (repeater) connections to the primary router, adding LAN ports and Wi-Fi access. It supports both standard repeater mode and WISP mode.
Wi-Fi Network Options
This router supports three Wi-Fi network types:
-
Main Wi-Fi: The primary network, enabled by default.
-
Guest Wi-Fi: Isolated for guest use, disabled by default. Supports user isolation for better security. You can schedule it to auto-disable after a set time (e.g., 1 hour).
-
Smart Wi-Fi: Disabled by default, intended for smart devices requiring continuous access. It cannot be scheduled for disabling.
The router automatically selects the best configuration based on the surrounding environment but may require a restart to address network freezing. Scheduled reboot is supported for maintenance (refer to section 6.6).
Additional Features
-
Port Mapping: For external access to internal devices like IP cameras or servers. This includes support for DMZ.
-
DHCP Server: Automatically assigns IP addresses to connected devices. When multiple routers are used, only one DHCP server should remain active to avoid conflicts.
-
DDNS: Allows you to use a fixed domain name to reach your router, even if your WAN IP changes. Supports PeanutHull, DynDNS, and No-IP.
-
ARP Management: Offers ARP binding and ARP guard to secure your network.
-
Policy-based Routing: Enables custom routing based on traffic rules (source/destination IP, protocol type). Prioritizes: policy-based routing > static routing > ISP routing.
-
Multicast to Unicast: Optimizes IPTV by converting multicast packets into unicast, preventing congestion from low-rate multicast traffic.
-
UPnP: Simplifies port mapping for applications like MSN Messenger, Xunlei, BT, and PPLive.
-
VPN Support: Includes PPTP and OpenVPN (client/server) for secure tunneling between sites or clients.
-
CWMP: Supports remote management and configuration of home network devices using ACS and CPE models, enabling tasks like firmware updates, service activation, and troubleshooting.
