Absolutely. Everything is dependent on grabbing outside signal to boost. Having stronger antennas allows the mobile hotspot router to reach farther in the distance to pull in more signal.

It all depends on your needs and how close you are to the signal source. The grid antenna reaches up to 8 miles but is bulky and a more fixed installation. The omni antenna reaches up to 2 miles but is light and easily moveable from one location to the next.

Technically, these antennas can’t work if they don’t have a source to pull from. However, because they are able to reach far into the distance, they may be able to grab signal where your original hotspot and cell phone couldn’t before.

We normally recommend the grid or yagi antenna since they are able to point to the signal source. In extremely low to no signal areas, the grid is the best option.

Yes, as long as your router has an external antenna port, our hotspot antenna signal boosters will work with it.

First, make sure the connections are not loose and tight. Second, power on and off your router so the antennas can recalibrate. Third, reposition the outside antennas to aim towards the signal source.

Try repositioning the outside antennas to aim towards the signal source. A slight shift here and there can dramatically make a big difference.
